Privacy Policy
Last Updated On: October 23rd, 2025
A quick note from us
We built BLOCT to make learning crypto and Web3 safer and clearer — and that includes your privacy.
This policy explains what we collect (and what we don’t), how we use it responsibly, and your rights to control it.
If you have questions, email Team@bloct.io.
Who we are
“BLOCT” is currently operated as an independent project under development. If/when BLOCT is incorporated, all legal and privacy responsibilities will transfer to the registered entity, and this policy will be updated.
What information we collect
Information you provide
Name and email address — when you create an account, subscribe, or contact us.
We do not collect sensitive personal information (e.g., health, biometrics, religion).
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:
Log/usage data (e.g., IP address, pages viewed, timestamps, basic diagnostics)
Device data (browser, OS, device type)
Approximate location (derived from IP — precise location is not collected)
We currently use only basic analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand overall traffic and engagement. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies at this time.
Accounts, courses, and payments
BLOCT accounts hold only essential details (name, email).
If you purchase a course, payments and course access are handled by our e-learning partner platform (to be announced). BLOCT does not store payment card details.
Any learning progress, assessments, or certificates will be processed and stored by the e-learning platform under its own privacy policy.
We’ll link the provider’s privacy policy here once selected.
How we use your information
We process your information to:
Create and manage your BLOCT account
Provide and improve our content and Services
Respond to support requests and send administrative messages (e.g., policy updates)
Keep our Services secure (e.g., fraud and abuse prevention)
Understand usage trends to improve the site and lessons
Request feedback so we can make learning clearer and safer
We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (EU/UK)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
Consent (e.g., newsletter opt-in). You can withdraw at any time.
Contract (to provide your account or content you request).
Legitimate interests (security, basic analytics, improving content) balanced against your rights.
Legal obligations (where we must comply with law).
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to run the site and may use Google Analytics for aggregated insights. We currently do not use advertising cookies or retargeting.
You can manage cookies in your browser.
Google’s opt-out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
We’ll update this policy and our cookie banner/settings if we add non-essential cookies in the future.
Social logins
We may offer sign-in via Google or other providers. If you use a social login, we receive limited profile info (e.g., name, email) from the provider. We use it only to create/manage your account. Please also review your provider’s privacy settings.
International transfers & hosting
Our website is built on Framer, hosted on AWS, and served via a Content Delivery Network (CDN), which may process data in the United States and other regions.
For EU/UK users, we use appropriate safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)) to protect personal data transferred outside the EEA/UK.
How long we keep data
We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Services or comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we’ll delete or anonymise your data unless we need to keep it for legal/security reasons (e.g., backups for a short period).
Keeping your data safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, so please use a unique, strong password and keep your account details safe.
Children’s privacy
BLOCT is for users 18+ (or the age of majority in your location). We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact Team@bloct.io and we’ll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data
Restrict or object to certain processing
Port your data to another provider
Withdraw consent (where consent is the lawful basis)
To exercise your rights, email Team@bloct.io. We’ll respond in line with applicable laws.
Marketing opt-out: Click “unsubscribe” in our emails or email us at any time.
Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control
There’s no universal standard for DNT/GPC signals yet, so we do not currently respond to them. If standards change, we’ll update this notice.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, give you a heads-up.
